Changes in force from 24 July 2026
- Article 24: use of an EPHO on a road where the car limit exceeds 50 km/h moved from E1-A to E3-A.
- Article 44: specific lane, age and sanction rules for bicycle and EPHO riders changed, including 20-day impoundment of a privately used EPHO for a specified offence.
- Article 103: an EPHO rider carries identification and proof of insurance, while a shared-vehicle provider may display them electronically.
The urban limit from 1 January 2026
The transitional provision kept the previous general 50 km/h limit until 1 January 2026. Since then, the 30 km/h general limit in article 24 applies, subject to the listed road exceptions and specific signs.
Payment without the old discount
Current article 107 requires payment within 2 months and does not include the previous 50% early-payment discount.
